MATHEMATICAL DESK FOR ITALIAN INDUSTRY
The Mathematical Desk for Italian Industry is located in Rome at the Istituto per le Applicazioni del Calcolo “Mauro Picone” (IAC) of the Italian National Research Council. It is financed by a triennial funding of the Ministry of Education, University and Research with the support of the Italian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SIMAI) and the Italian Association of Operational Research (AIRO).

ACTIVITIES
The Team of the Mathematical Desk for Italian Industry is composed by a group of research consultants with expertise in mathematics applied to industrial problems.
The primary aim of the Mathematical Desk for Italian Industry is to conduct an effective and highly qualified consultancy in the field of scientific and technological transfer, with particular emphasis on the role of mathematics.
It encourages Italian companies to improve the quality of their products and enhance their processes through mathematical methods that are specifically developed for their business in collaboration with our partners.
Partners of the Mathematical Desk form a network of research center of excellence in the field of mathematics applied to industrial problems.
If you lead a company and are interested in the activities of the Mathematical Desk, you can contact the Team for a first meeting. The Team of the Mathematical Desk will present you how the use of mathematical methods and tools may contribute to the improvement of your products and processes.
Your company will be supported by the researchers of the Mathematical Desk to identify the critical industrial procedures with the assistance of specialists in the field of mathematics applied to the achievement of business objectives.
In the network of scientific partners, the Mathematical Desk will identify the Research Centers with proven success experience in the specific application you need.
The Mathematical Desk will be the intermediary between your company and the chosen research center and supervise any stage of the project.
Due to a triennial funding from the Italian Minister of Education, University and Research, the first meetings with the Mathematical Desk are free of duty for the companies.
