Title.Finite speed approximations of Navier-Stokes equations

This tutorial is intendend as an introduction to the hyperbolic approximations of Navier-Stokes equations. In recent years this topic has received a growing attention from many researchers, both from the analytical and the numerical approximation sides. One of the main ideas is the possibility to deal with the interaction of convection and diffusion terms in a natural way using modulated entropies. The first part of the lecture will be devoted to a review of the main analytical results in this direction, while in the second part the ideas e the achievements of the numerical approximation research will be presented.
