Mathways into Cancer

Cancer is a major public health problem worldwide. Approaches to the understanding of cancer complexity are as varied as cancer itself. Specifically, considerable efforts are being made in trying to follow more synergetic viewpoints to the problem of cancer. Translational research on cancer, based on mathematical models, has arose as a promising tool, potentially contributing towards better diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutical approaches in clinical oncology as well as to the understanding of the basic biological processes behind cancer initiation and development. The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers from all over the world to share their mathematical perspectives on tumor systems, that is to say; their Mathways into Cancer.
